Kaleidoscope Counseling specializes in individualized psychological assessment-evaluation and testing.
If you are worried that your child is not meeting developmental milestones or is having difficulty in certain areas, assessment may provide the answers you are looking for. Assessment can help determine appropriate therapies, document progress, or indicate placement for a child with an existing diagnosis.
Assessment-Evaluation tools provide an opportunity to take the emotion out of determining possible causes of an issue, or the severity, and help counselors, teachers and others develop and implement the best therapeutic and educational interventions and strategies unique to an individual.
The first step is the Clinical Interview; this meeting is where you and the assessment team meet to talk about your needs and purpose of conducting an assessment-evaluation. From this meeting the assessment team can then determine which assessment instrument(s) should be used. You will then set up a Clinical Observation/Interview if client is a minor, held 1-week after Clinical Interview. Then Scoring, interpretation and Formal Written Report done by assessment team, this will take a minimum of 2-weeks and is dependent on the number of assessment instruments utilized. A Clinical Feedback follows this from the assessment team where you will be giving the result and recommendations. This meeting is for adults only, minor clients who are 15 or older may choose to attend this meeting.
Assessments are available for children, teens and adults.
