Dore’s passion is to help couples; individuals and families renew their strength and commitment to each other and live life more abundantly. She believes that men and women are created in the Image of God and there is a need for an intimate connection with Him. Dore works with those who are striving to overcome depression, anxiety, effects of sexual and physical abuse, grief, marital and parenting issues. Her desire is to help each client find hope in the midst of difficult times and pull through adversity as a stronger, more complete person. She views therapy as a way to facilitate change, but ultimately change comes from within, so Dore’s commitment is to meet clients where they are and to help motivate them to achieve their ultimate life goals. Dore has worked extensively with members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints and is on the approved counselor list for the Church. Dore earned both her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and her Master of Education in Counseling from the University of North Texas.
Dore is blessed to have been married to her best friend, Phil, for more than 20 years. Together they have three children, two of which are in college. Dore enjoys reading, camping, going to museums, hanging out at the beach, pestering her son who attends college out-of-state (just to make sure he is not starving), spending time with her girls at home and running off with her husband. Dore really wishes she enjoyed cooking, seafood, running and non-fat milk, but has learned to accept her own flaws and limitations.
