Give and Take
We live in an age of amazing, modern, worldwide lines of communication with phone, fax, e-mail, and instant messaging. However, how we communicate with ourselves and others is often closely related to the lines of communication used. The path to better communication begins with exploring how different lines of communication influence individual perceptions and actions, and the resulting reactions of others.

With the Give and Take activity teams of two participants lead their horse down and back up a "road" that has been set up in the arena. Each participant must stay outside the "road" and must hold only the end portion of the nylon rope. The processing that follows this activity explores how the team worked or did not work together as well as how they each interacted with the horse (e.g. quit, try new ideas, get frustrated?).
